VERLIE B. COLLINS CENTER

We have rooms and a gym to rent for meetings, singings, luncheons, dances, etc.

THE FACILITY offers: (center capacity 300)

MEETING ROOM – This room can be set up for most any meeting need.

GYM – The gym has a multi-use floor and can be used for all meetings, banquets, receptions, etc. The Athletic Program does have priority during its seasons. The gym is open for “free-play” unless other events are scheduled. The gym can be reserved by groups to play/practice basketball but only on availability with priority being given to civic meetings, one-time events and/or paying customers. If gym floor is to be covered a $25.00 fee is charged.

HOURS OF OPERATION – The Verlie B. Collins is open Monday through Thursday, 7:30 am – 8:00 pm and Fridays, 7:30am – 6:30pm. The rate for events starting or lasting past our regular open hours is as follows: $15.00 for the first hour and $25.00 for each additional hour(s). Although we have no set hours (above stated times for opening and closing) for Saturday and Sunday, we will open for anyone wishing to use the Center for a scheduled meeting or event. There is an additional charge for weekend use.

All facilities of the Sylacauga Parks and Recreation Department are open to entry and use by all persons regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, sex or disability.

The Sylacauga Parks and Recreation Board has a policy against allowing alcoholic beverages in any of our facilities. There shall be no alcohol allowed in any park, building, pool, field, complex, or any other facility operated by the Parks and Recreation Department.

**Non-profit organizations rate is $10.00 per room per session.
