Betty Perkins was born in Chelsea, Alabama. She and 
her husband, Clyde, moved to Sylacauga in 1953. 
During World War II, she taught school in Shelby 
County. Betty became known as the "caterer
extraordinaire" throughout the entire Sylacauga
area, and her meals alone would sell out an event!
Today she is retired, but her magnificent meals and
the personal touch that she and Clyde provided are
missed by everyone.
