There are seven sworn personnel assigned to the investigation division.
The division is made up of one lieutenant, one sergeant, four investigators,
and one warrant officer. The lieutenant is the chief investigator and
oversees the division. The sergeant is responsible for direct
supervision. Three investigators are assigned to general
investigations and one is assigned as a narcotics investigator with the
Talladega County Drug Task Force. The investigators assigned to
general investigations have the responsibility of following up on all
reports received by the department. The warrant officer is responsible
for keeping up with warrants signed through our department. He also
attempts to locate defendants listed on warrants.
