Department's D.A.R.E. Program works with the Sylacauga Board of Education in
teaching students about the dangers and consequences of possessing and using

Lieutenant Mike
Gorman

Lieutenant Gorman has been with
the Sylacauga Police Department since 1982. He grew up in Sylacauga where
he graduated from Sylacauga High School. He is a certified D.A.R.E
Instructor and a School Resource Officer. Lieutenant Gorman enjoys
spending time with his family, watching football games and,
ROLL TIDE!!!

Officer Mike
Lawson

Officer Lawson
started in law enforcement in 1998. He was certified as a correctional
officer and drill instructor in 1998 and a school resource officer in 2002.
He enjoys spending time with his wife and friends, playing sports, working out
at the gym, and
