Qualifications For Office Of Mayor: (1) Registered voter (2) Must have lived within the city limits at least six (6) months prior to election and (3) Runs for election at large (city wide) Term of office of mayor: Four (4) years, no limit Duties of office of mayor: (1) Prepare and present budget to city council every year (2) Carry out policies set forth by the city council (3) Represent the city at local, state, and national functions (4) Oversee all employees of city – approximately 125 persons Hours of Operation: 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday with an “Open Door Policy” Contact: Sam H.
